Job description

AbbVie is seeking an Operations Project Manager in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves identifying opportunities to reduce operating costs, decrease cycle times, and boost efficiency, followed by leading projects to realize these improvements. The manager will enhance the organization’s capability by training and mentoring personnel on Business Excellence tools and providing leadership and mentorship to sponsors and kaizen candidates.

The position requires establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, managing small projects or components of larger projects, and being responsible for all aspects of project coordination, communication, and execution. This includes setting and managing expectations with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include developing project plans to ensure successful delivery within budget, scope, and schedule, as well as executing functional responsibilities effectively while providing oversight and guidance to meet project deliverables.

• Facilitates analysis of opportunities and risks, and identifies impacts and recommendations to the business or manufacturing site.
• Demonstrates leadership in setting and aligning project direction while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.
• Executes Logistics Software Systems (LSS) project management processes, tools, and templates effectively.
• Identifies and executes continuous improvement efforts to meet service, quality, and cost objectives.
• Supports and motivates teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Provides training and coaching to sponsors and Kaizen leaders, if needed.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of business experience, with a minimum of 1-year LSS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Sciences, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
• Accredited LSS Green Belt or Kaizen Leader Certification required; PMP preferred.
• Financial acumen and ability to assess project return on investment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
