Job description

• Direct cross-functional teams driving regional, operating unit, or system initiatives, strategies, issue resolutions, and alignment across Sutter Health
• Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee three or more concurrent long-term projects with significant size, scope, budget, or impact
• Develop project work plans
• Establish project communication and risk management plans
• Redesign workflow processes

Requirements

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, public health administration, or another related field, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of recent relevant experience
• Thorough knowledge of project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, financial management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping
• Significant business background sufficient to understand operational and technical project and industry issues
• Ability to provide direction, monitor, train, coach, and assign work to project staff
• Clear, concise, and tactful communication skills with management, vendors, peers, and staff
• Adaptability and flexibility, including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
• Ability to plan and facilitate meetings
• Thorough knowledge of Lean management systems
• Ability to gain cooperation and support through influence and persuasion
