We seek a Project Manager II to support Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, leading multifaceted construction efforts and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

Ten years’ experience in engineering, procurement and construction or equivalent.
U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract.
Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain DOE Q clearance.
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and pre-employment drug/background checks required.
Experience with construction project controls and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Lead projects of roughly $500k and oversee Superintendent 2 as needed.
Plan, budget, manage costs and schedule; serve as Control Account Manager (CAM).
Lead constructability reviews and evaluate design impacts on costs and schedule.
Provide leadership on health, safety and environmental compliance.
Ensure work packages reflect realistic duration and budget; perform variance analysis.
Present performance plans and status updates to federal sponsors as required.
