Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC in Los Alamos, NM seeks a Project Manager 2 / Construction Superintendent 3 to support Los Alamos National Laboratory. This 100% onsite role leads field construction activities, coordinating craft teams on facility upgrades and renovations within active nuclear facilities.

The successful candidate will work with craft foremen, planners, and engineers to execute work per packages, schedules, and LANL requirements, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ten years of work experience in construction, maintenance, facility operations, or field supervision.
• Nuclear project or operational experience required.
• Experience leading upgrades, renovations, or modifications in an operating facility.
• Strong leadership to direct craft personnel and subcontractors.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, piping drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Knowledge of Control Account Manager reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership for construction and maintenance activities on facility upgrades.
• Supervise multiple craft disciplines during scheduled work.
• Lead pre-job briefings outlining scope, hazards, controls, and expectations.
• Coordinate with union craft foremen and field personnel toplan and execute work.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Foster teamwork and safe work execution.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Track field performance, productivity, and schedule adherence.
• Communicate progress, issues, and recovery plans to management.
• Review work packages for scope, sequencing, resources, and execution.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and resources for planned activities.
• Interpret drawings and resolve construction issues.
• Lead constructability reviews and advise on sequencing and access.
• Participate in investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions.
