WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to act as the primary liaison with customers through all project phases, from kickoff to delivery.

You will align milestones with contracts, manage scope and changes, and lead cross-functional teams across manufacturing sites while coordinating with vendors and service partners. The role requires extensive experience in electrical industrial systems, strong stakeholder management, and a focus on safety, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • PMP certification preferred for candidate assessment.
  • 5–10 years of project management in electrical or rotating equipment industries.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary customer liaison throughout order and project lifecycle.
  • Lead handover with sales, conduct kickoff meetings, maintain project plans.
  • Establish milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage project scope, changes, and approvals.

Job description


  • Serve as the primary customer liaison throughout the order and project lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects

  • Lead handover with the sales team, conduct kickoff meetings, and maintain comprehensive project plans

  • Establish milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria aligned with contractual requirements

  • Manage project scope, process change orders, and ensure proper approvals

  • Provide technical leadership to field personnel

  • Apply project management methodologies and drive operational excellence

  • Coordinate with in-house manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to meet delivery commitments

  • Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors as needed

  • Provide regular status updates to leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities

  • Conduct site visits with customers and vendors as needed

  • Oversee safety and compliance requirements

  • Perform progress and financial reviews with increasing autonomy

  • Ensure timely revenue recognition and milestone payment processing

  • Safeguard the company's commercial and contractual interests

  • Coordinate logistics and shipping requirements

  • Perform other duties assigned by management to meet business needs


Requirements


  • 5–10 years of total experience, with dedicated project management experience in the electrical or rotating equipment industries or capital projects

  • Knowledge of electrical industrial systems, power electronics, and rotating machines integration

  • Experience with PLCs, variable frequency drives, and industrial control systems preferred

  • Knowledge of industry standards including NEMA, IEC, IEEE, OSHA, and NFPA certifications

  • Experience managing construction and commissioning workflows, including site readiness, startup sequencing, and resource coordination

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and SAP experience preferred

  • Experience coordinating with third-party contractors, service partners, and cross-functional internal teams

  • Proficiency with digital tools used for project tracking, reporting, and documentation

  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities

  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to create professional documentation independently

  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and customer negotiation skills in technical project environments

  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks while recognizing opportunities

  • Experience implementing process improvements for project efficiency

  • Track record of delivering technical projects on time and within budget constraints

  • Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
