CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Project Manager for NCDOT heavy civil work in Charlotte, NC and across central North Carolina. You will lead NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout, owning budgets and schedules while coordinating with owners, engineers and inspectors.

You must have 5+ years as PM of record on relevant projects, with documented NCDOT experience and a contractor background.

Qualificações

• 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work.
• Documented NCDOT project experience as PM is required.
• End-to-end project delivery with no step-up from junior roles.
• Contractor-side background only; not suitable for consultants or inspectors.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, change orders and field team management.
• Vista and HCSS HeavyJob experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Charlotte area candidates preferred or relocation welcomed.

Responsabilidades

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as PM of record from preconstruction to closeout.
• Own budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin for every project.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost and report to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
