Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil work, with 3-5 years of experience on big civil projects and power industry exposure. This role requires coordination across internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring project documents and drawings are interpreted correctly and executed per design.

Location options include Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR with around 20% travel. Applicants should be comfortable with extensive scheduling, budget oversight, and long hours, while

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience working on heavy civil projects.
• Experience with large-scale power projects involving civil construction within the power industry.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (HeavyJob & HeavyBid).
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• New project planning & coordination amongst internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proper tracking of project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage, changes to conditions, etc.
• Effectively understand the scope of work, terminology, and project documents.
• Read, interpret, understand, and recognize project specifications and drawings. Utilize all documents to construct the project per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance.
• AP invoice review/approval.
• Monthly billings.
• Timecard review/approval.
• Budget review and understanding.
• Budget maintenance during construction.
• Project projections (material, productivity, manpower, equipment).
• Relationship building (internal/external).

Position:

Project Manager - Heavy Civil/Concrete Foundation/Dry Utilities

Location: Gilbert AZ or Prineville OR Office (20% Travel)

Salary: $125 - $185k DOE

• New project planning & coordination amongst internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proper tracking of project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage, changes to conditions, etc.
• Effectively understand the scope of work, terminology, and project documents.
• Read, interpret, understand, and recognize project specifications and project drawings. Utilize all documents to construct the project per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance.

Requirements

• 3-5 year's minimum experience working on heavy civilprojects
• Experience utilizing many layers of project documents to effectively comply with project building requirements
• Experience in PM, CM, or QC roles on large-scale power projects involving civil construction within the power industry
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (HeavyJob & HeavyBid)
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project
• Must be a team player and willing to perform multiple duties as the need arises
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and a DVR acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier
• Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions
• This position is subject to drug testing and background check
