Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager for Heavy Civil to lead complex foundation and utilities projects in the Western region. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to scope.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources, while maintaining safety, quality, and communication across disciplines. Travel up to 20% is required in Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience on heavy civil projects.
• Experience interpreting multiple project documents to meet building requirements.
• PM/CM/QC roles on large-scale power projects involving civil construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS HeavyJob & HeavyBid.
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project.
• Must be a team player and capable of multitasking.
• Detail-oriented, organized and self-driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work long hours and in varying conditions.
• Subject to drug testing and background checks.

Responsibilities

• New project planning and coordination among internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project completion, daily production rates, materials, and equipment usage.
• Understand scope, terminology, and project documents accurately.
• Read and interpret project specs and drawings; construct per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance activities.
• AP invoice review and approval.
• Monthly billings.
• Timecard review and approval.
• Budget review and maintenance during construction.
• Prepare project projections for materials, productivity, manpower, and equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
