Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline engineering projects from concept to completion in the Chicago area. You will drive safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk, procurement, and client relations across EPC, design‑only, and construction management programs.

As project lead, you will establish teams, manage scope and budgets, coordinate communications, and ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery while mentoring staff and guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.
• Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3+ years managing projects.
• Ability to work with diverse contracts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of multi-discipline projects from concept to completion.
• Establish project teams and coordinate activities across disciplines.
• Manage all aspects of project communication.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope and costs.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage change orders.
• Ensure QA/QC, safety compliance and performance.
