Job summary

F.E. Moran Fire Protection National is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Fire Protection for our Kansas City office. You will oversee warehousing projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, design integrity, field operations, and financial performance.

You will lead teams onsite, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and negotiate changes to protect the company’s interests. This role requires strong project management and site-based availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management or relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in Fire Protection project management with proven project success.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail; translate plans to varied audiences.
• Availability to work from job sites; on-site flexibility.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Kansas City office for an experienced Project Manager in Fire Protection to be responsible for successful project outcomes, including safety, design, field operations, and financial performance.

You Are:

• KNOWLEDGEABLE: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management or relevant field or equivalent experience; in-depth industry and project management expertise; NICET and CFPS certifications considered a plus
• EXPERIENCED: Extensive previous experience in Fire Protection project management with proven project success
• A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate both verbally and written to varied levels of audiences; ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts successfully, negotiate changes and protect the company’s interest
• ANALYTICAL: Critical thinker with strong attention to detail; ability to understand and translate plans and designs to varied levels of audiences
• ADAPTABLE: Quickly adjusts to a changing environment and handles multiple priorities under time constraints
• FLEXIBLE: Available as needed; must work from the job sites

• MANAGE: Lead, organize, and oversee warehousing projects from inception to completion
• COORDINATE: Plan, oversee, and maintain effective field operations and teams
• EXECUTE: Effectively accomplish the scope of contracted work within the allotted budget and time schedules
• PERFORM: Ensure the financial success of the project with attention to change order management and resolution
• SERVICE: Provide exceptional guidance and support to all stakeholders, partners, and team members
