Jobot is seeking a Top Tier Project Manager / Estimator for a well-established demolition and carpentry subcontractor in Minneapolis. This role combines estimating and project management on commercial projects, offering exposure to schools, government buildings, retail spaces, and tenant improvements.

A bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or related field, plus 3+ years’ experience, are preferred. The successful candidate will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, review

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or related role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of building systems, construction methods, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with construction software and tools (e.g., estimating software, project management platforms, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope.
• Conduct site visits and job walk-throughs to validate conditions and identify risks.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:

• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for demolition and carpentry scopes
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope

Project Management:

• Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Review contracts, schedules, and procurement needs
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to execute work effectively
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, scope, and cost
• Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining safety and quality standards
