AES Clean Energy is seeking an EPC Project Manager to oversee photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects from development through turnover to Operations. The role involves due diligence on potential acquisitions, leading construction planning, defining EPC scopes, and acting as an Owner's Project Manager. The position reports to the Director of Project Management and requires managing distributed generation and utility-scale projects with periodic travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define and document RFPs and scope of work for EPC firms; participate in EPC selection and negotiations.
2. Conduct due diligence on solar sites and evaluate their suitability.
3. Act as Owner's Representative for EPC Contract Management on high-impact PV solar and energy storage projects in the US.
4. Review and manage EPC schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans, and permits.
5. Coordinate utility interconnection processes and documentation.
6. Engage with project stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, and suppliers.
7. Support permitting and approval processes.
8. Ensure compliance with contract terms and project delivery within budget and schedule.
9. Manage internal teams and EPC contractor activities.
10. Maintain project quality and safety through site inspections.
11. Lead project status meetings and facilitate discussions with stakeholders.
12. Manage project documentation and support project turnover to operations.
13. Develop internal policies and procedures.
14. Willingness to travel up to 30% to project locations.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field.
2. 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, renewable energy experience preferred.
3. Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and standards, civil and structural knowledge.
4. Experience with distributed or utility-scale PV solar projects; energy storage experience is a plus.
5. PMP certification preferred.
6. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, CPM scheduling, and project management software.
7. Excellent communication and partner management skills.
8. Strong interpersonal skills to handle stressful situations effectively.
