AES Clean Energy seeks an EPC Project Manager to oversee photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects from development through turnover to Operations. Responsibilities include due diligence on project acquisitions, leading construction planning, defining EPC scopes, and acting as an Owner’s Project Manager. The role reports to the Director of Project Management and requires managing high-impact projects and periodic travel to sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define and document RFPs and scope of work for EPC firms, participate in selection and negotiations.
2. Conduct due diligence on solar sites, evaluate their suitability, and review reports.
3. Act as the Owner’s Representative for EPC Contract Management on solar and storage projects.
4. Review and manage EPC schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans, and permits.
5. Manage utility interconnection processes and documentation.
6. Engage with stakeholders, landowners, agencies, contractors, and suppliers.
7. Support permitting and approval processes.
8. Coordinate with EPCs and vendors to ensure contract adherence and delivery.
9. Manage activities of internal teams and external EPC contractors, stakeholders, and authorities.
10. Ensure quality control and safe practices through site inspections.
11. Lead project status meetings and facilitate communication with management and partners.
12. Organize and file project documentation for internal and external needs.
13. Oversee project turnover from construction to operations.
14. Assist in developing internal policies and procedures.
15. Travel up to 30% to project sites as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in renewable energy.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design, civil, and structural standards.
• Experience with distributed generation or utility-scale PV solar projects; energy storage experience preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, CPM scheduling, and project management software (MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong partner management skills and ability to maintain composure under stress.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $131,750 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Salary may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. Employment is at-will, and the company may modify compensation at its discretion.
