Job summary

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) seeks a Project Manager to represent the agency for select counties in the Central Indiana region. You will manage IEDC projects, negotiate economic development deals, and foster relationships with partners and stakeholders across the state.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years in economic development; international experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate Sales and/or Development, Sales/Business Development or core industries.
• 1–3 years of experience in economic development or related field (preferred).
• International business development experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of Indiana government structure and regional economic development laws and trends.

Responsibilities

• Manage and negotiate expansion and business attraction projects with emphasis on attracting new companies and job creation.
• Build and maintain relationships with economic development partners within the State, especially in Northern Indiana Region.
• Travel frequently within the Northern Indiana Region and the State to meet clients and stakeholders and assess needs.
• Provide technical assistance to identify appropriate IEDC programs and complete program applications.
• Update CRM databases and report activities to IEDC leadership.
