Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project Manager for our Process Operations team to lead single and multi-discipline engineering, design and architectural efforts from scope development through complete design packages and project execution. The ideal candidate will coordinate with discipline leads and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

This role requires strong communication, financial acumen, and a track record in design and construction.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master)
• CAPM or PMP certification preferred
• 5 years in design/construction industry
• At least 2 years in Project Management
• Strong financial management skills

Responsibilities

• Establishes project scope with Discipline Captains and Department Managers, planning work, design direction, and task allocation.
• Communicates client requirements to each discipline.
• Prepares project budget and schedule as a performance measure.
• Responsible for preparation of fee proposals.
• Directly accountable for timetables and financial success, including change orders.
• Prepares the project plan, establishes control procedures, monitors progress and takes corrective action.
• Administers project procedures (cost estimating, correspondence, document control).
• Solicits outside consultants/services as needed.
• Coordinates meetings and paper flow with client, contractors, regulatory agencies and others.
• Reviews and approves client billings.
• Participates in client contact and business development.
• May assist in training/mentoring Assistant Project Managers.
• Travel to other SSOE facilities/client locations; travel required; valid driver's license.
