Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager to join our fast-growing General Contractor team in Chicagoland. The role focuses on multifamily and residential sectors with autonomy to shape your career. Expect a competitive base salary, bonus package, comprehensive benefits, and a company vehicle/allowance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, 4+ years of construction experience (APM/PM preferred), and willingness to travel up to 25% for out-of-state projects. PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of construction experience; current APM or PM preferred.
  • Experience in multifamily or ground-up projects over $10M is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 25% or as needed for out-of-state projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be advantageous.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Perform regular site inspections and coordinate adjustments.
  • Resolve issues or complaints related to the construction process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex construction projects. Responsibilities
  • 1. Overseeing all phases of construction projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • 2. Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project objectives are met.
  • 3. Managing and supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • 4. Preparing and presenting project proposals, reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • 5. Conducting risk assessments, identifying potential issues, and implementing appropriate solutions.
