Job summary

Jobot in Chicago seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee multifamily and residential projects from initiation to completion. This permanent role offers growth and autonomy to shape your career path within our fast-growing Chicagoland team.

You will coordinate planning, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder updates, collaborating with architects and engineers to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years in construction, with multifamily housing experience.
  • Proven track record managing projects end-to-end.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office (Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Develop detailed project plans including the schedule, budget, and resources needed to meet project objectives.
  • Act as primary contact for all project-related issues and resolution of these issues.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Adhere to all industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements while managing projects.
  • Contribute to risk management, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of potential project risks.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and standard office software (MS Office, Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is a plus.
Salary

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
