Job summary

STV Construction Inc. in Boston seeks a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead large public agency programs through pre-construction and construction.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, directing proposals, project initiation, and closeout while coordinating multiple teams and resources. The role requires proficiency with e-Builder, Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera P6 and Bluebeam, and travel to sites about 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management. Five years of progressive project experience. Master’s degree can substitute up to two years.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects for large public agency programs during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards per contract.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, disciplines, resources, procurement, and risk.
• Direct development of proposals, project initiation, execution/control, and closeout; monitor manpower, equipment, materials and quality procedures.
• Utilize construction PM tools (e-Builder, Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam).
• Support travel to client sites (approx. 15%).
• Position based in Boston, may work from home up to 2 days/week.

Job Description:

Responsible for managing construction projects for large scale public agency construction programs during pre-construction and construction phases. Assigned projects include design-bid-build and CMAR. Ensure construction operations are completed in accordance with contract schedule, quality standards and budget. Manage activities related to project scope, schedule, budget, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, discipline requirements, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility. Manage and direct development of proposals, project initiation, project execution/control and project closeout for planning; monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and quality procedures; identify and resolve project issues; select, oversee and evaluate project personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Position duties require extensive application of construction accounting and scheduling processes, and utilization of construction project management applications, including e-Builder, Procore, Plan Grid, MS Project, Primavera P6 and Bluebeam. Position requires approximately 15% travel time to client project sites within the Boston Metropolitan geographic area. Position based in Boston, Massachusetts, may work at home up to 2 days per week, subject to change at any time.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management, followed by minimum five years of progressive experience in duties of position offered. Up to two years of required experience may be satisfied by a Master’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
