Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for construction projects in the Welkom, Free State area. You will oversee planning, budgeting, site operations, contractor coordination, and quality control to deliver projects on time and within scope.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CM/Civil/Architecture and at least 6 years of PM experience in construction, with strong leadership and communication skills. A hybrid work model is offered, with travel to sites as needed.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established construction and engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee diverse projects in the Welkom, Free State area. This role is critical for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting to final completion and handover. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including coordinating with contractors, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow.

• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) and familiarity with relevant building codes.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with experience managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
