Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial real estate development projects in Welkom, Free State. You will manage the entire project lifecycle from site acquisition to handover, ensuring top quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate will have strong construction management knowledge, zoning regulations experience, and stakeholder coordination within Welkom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within commercial real estate development.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contract negotiation, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial real estate development projects, including feasibility studies, land acquisition, design, permitting, construction, and leasing.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, legal teams, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee site inspections and quality control processes to ensure project specifications are met.
• Manage contractor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms.
• Liaise with potential tenants and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with market demands.
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues and risks to minimize delays and cost overruns.
