Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for Commercial TI (Office, Life Sciences, Healthcare) in the San Diego area. This permanent role focuses on TI, Ground Up, Clean Room, Life Sciences, Healthcare, QC Lab, MEP Infrastructure, and lab support systems, with excellent growth opportunities.

You will lead planning, coordinate subcontractors, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure safety and quality across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience in TI, Ground Up, Clean Room, Life Sciences, Healthcare, etc.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of commercial TI construction projects from planning to implementation.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor progress.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs with verification techniques.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.

• 2. Proven working experience in project management in the construction of TI, Ground Up, Clean Room, Life Sciences, Healthcare, QC Lab, Biochem Lab, MEP Infrastructure, and lab support systems.
• 3. Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction and project management.
• 4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 6. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• 7. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• 8. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• 9. Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• 10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• 11. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
