Job summary

Keeley Companies in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Project Manager for our Civil Energy Team. You will lead project teams, develop plans, coordinate schedules and manage safety, quality and budget to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating material needs, managing risks, and liaising with inspectors, engineering firms and owners. A suitable degree plus 5 years' experience is required, with strong relationship and software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years' relevant experience.
• Experience with substation, transmission/distribution, and deep foundation drilling is preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, vendors and clients.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead project teams to deliver quality, safety and productivity.
• Develop comprehensive project plans aligning scope, schedule and budget.
• Create and manage project schedules, identifying potential impacts.
• Coordinate all roles in the project lifecycle from admin to owner responsibilities.
• Coordinate material needs with suppliers and field supervision to meet specs.
• Manage risk related to site safety and contractual terms with authorities and other contractors.
• Organize pre-construction meetings with supervisors to prepare projects.
• Facilitate change orders and closeout documentation with clients.
• Communicate with inspectors, consulting/engineering firms, owner reps and utilities.
• Schedule subcontractors and maintain clear communication to avoid delays.
• Read and draft subcontracts and vendor agreements per owner requirements.
• Coordinate resources with other PMs, superintendents and engineers.
• Grow and mentor the project team through development and guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment throughout the project.

Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Project Manager for our Civil Energy Team in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and lead project teams to deliver successful outcomes with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity.
• Develop comprehensive project plans prior to project kickoff to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Build, manage, and strategize project schedules . Recognize, identify , and rectify potential impacts.
• Understand and coordinate all roles within the project lifecycle, from administrative functions to owner responsibilities.
• Work with suppliers and field supervision to coordinate material needs. Ensure that materials meet specifications and that packing slips match the quantity delivered.
• Manage risk in relation to job-site safety, owner contractual terms, city and/or county specifications, and other contractors that could be working on-site.
• Work with estimators to organize a pre-construction meeting with key supervisors in operations to help produce a project.
• Facilitate change orders and closeout documentation with clients.
• Communicate and coordinate with local municipal inspectors, consulting firms, engineering firms, owner representatives, and local utilities.
• Schedule subcontractors when needed and manage effective communication to avoid delays in operations.
• Ability to read and write subcontracts & vendor agreements based on their owners’ contract requirements.
• Coordinate resources with other project managers, general superintendents , project engineers , etc.
• Manage and grow a team by taking responsibility and genuine interest in their team’s development and growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure consistent communication and alignment throughout the project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of five years of experience performing primary responsibilities listed above.
• Background of technical skills and understanding of substation, transmission/distribution, and deep foundation drilling projects.
• Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, vendors, and clients.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
