Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager in Austin, TX to lead medium-sized building automation and life-safety projects. You will manage scope, schedule and budget while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across all assignments.

You will translate customer needs into detailed plans, coordinate procurement, track milestones, and collaborate with engineers, technicians and clients. A PMI-style mindset and strong communication are essential to drive results and growth

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in technical environments such as building automation, fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Excellent communication with clients and internal teams; strong ability to translate requirements into plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with cost-control focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-scale projects from award through completion.
• Translate customer needs into detailed proposals and implementation plans.
• Communicate project requirements to teams and maintain accurate status records.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and services for timely, cost-effective completion.
• Establish milestones and analyze costs; oversee subcontractor selections.
