AlphaGov in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Project Manager to own architecture and engineering design projects from kickoff through permitting and construction. This hands-on leadership role guides scope, schedules, budgets, client communications, and deliverables while coordinating architects, engineers, and outside consultants.

You will identify scope conflicts early, keep multidisciplinary teams aligned, drive progress toward milestones, and ensure client expectations are met throughout the project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing professional design projects through permitting and construction.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary design environments.
• Proven ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and client communications.
• Experience leading architects, engineers, and consultants through reviews and deliverables.
• Strong understanding of design workflows, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Ability to identify scope conflicts and keep teams aligned to deadlines.
• Strong client-facing communication to manage expectations.
• Direct PM delivery experience (not primarily a coordinator).

We are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of architecture and engineering design projects from kickoff through permitting and construction, working within a full-service professional design firm environment. This role leads project scope, schedules, budgets, client communication, and deliverables while guiding architects, engineers, and outside consultants through the design process. The Project Manager will help resolve scope conflicts early, keep multidisciplinary teams aligned, and ensure projects move efficiently toward completion. This is a hands‑on project leadership position with direct responsibility for execution and client delivery.

Requirements

• Proven ability to identify scope conflicts, resolve issues, and keep multidisciplinary teams aligned to deadlines.
• Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Must have direct project management and delivery experience rather than primarily serving in a project coordination or support capacity
