Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager in Colorado to lead design and construction processes, coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams, and ensure project goals are met.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of professional architectural experience, an NAAB-accredited degree, and licensure preferred. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe CS is required; excellent communication and mentorship skills are essential.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead projects from initial design through construction while serving as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal project teams. This position is ideal for a highly organized, technically strong architect who enjoys taking ownership of projects, mentoring team members, and balancing design excellence with successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural projects through programming, design, entitlements, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project goals and expectations are met.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, and overall project performance.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, including structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and other project partners.
  • Provide technical and design leadership while overseeing drawing production, documentation, specifications, and quality control.
  • Research, interpret, and apply applicable building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Mentor and provide direction to Job Captains, Designers, and junior architectural staff.
  • Participate in client presentations, project meetings, agency coordination, and construction phase activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional architectural experience, including demonstrated project management responsibilities.
  • NAAB accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
  • Architectural licensure preferred. Candidates actively pursuing licensure may also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction documentation, detailing, building systems, and construction methods.
  • Demonstrated experience managing clients, consultants, project schedules, budgets, and internal teams.
  • Strong understanding of building and zoning codes and the entitlement and permitting process.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead multiple projects while effectively delegating and mentoring team members.
