Job summary

ESSC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple initiatives, developing implementation plans, defining scope, timelines, and deliverables that align with business goals.

Under moderate supervision, you will track progress, manage budgets, and report status to leadership while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. This role supports a patient-centered service environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; PMP/CSM certification preferred.
  • 4–6 years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience with healthcare technology and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates project activities from definition through execution per ESS standard PM processes.
  • Plans, prioritizes, monitors, and validates work of project team for timely delivery.
  • Provides periodic status reports on costs, schedules, deliverables to PMO and executives.
  • Escalates risks with mitigation strategies to support on-time delivery.
  • Makes end-to-end project decisions and develops program-level processes.

Job description

Starting Salary - $87k+/yr

OVERVIEW OF POSITION

Under moderate supervision, provides project management oversight and direction to ensure overall success of an assigned number of initiatives by developing appropriate project implementation plans to include but not limited to scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management. Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools. Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and determines the need. Ensures projects/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Assures compliance of projects and solutions with applicable standards and regulations, internal and external to the organization. In all responsibilities, the position demonstrates a strong commitment to ESSC's mission and values by supporting a high-quality, person-centered service environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates projects activities related to project definition, planning, and execution of projects while utilizing ESS standard project management processes.
  • Plans, prioritizes, monitors, provides direction, and validates work of project team to ensure appropriate skills, workload, quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Provides periodic reporting of status of projects, costs, schedules, contractual deliverables, among other key metrics to PMO leadership team, project governance team and executive leadership team as applicable.
  • Effective escalation of project risks and issues along with relevant mitigation strategies to support quality and timely delivery of projects.
  • Makes decisions in end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end while developing and implementing program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics.
  • Develops and provides training on project management office frameworks and best practices; creates and standardizes tools; and aligns practices with industry standards and evidence-based practices.
  • Showcases on-time delivery with flawless project launches from project kickoff to production release or go-live.
  • Maintains project budgets, and supports earned value management, ROI analysis and KPI tracking.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for internal and external team members on project status, execution, and escalation.
  • Schedules, facilitates and supports meetings with appropriate meeting material and notes.
  • Actively solicits internal and customer feedback to improve business relationships.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Management, Psychology, or other relevant field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Project Management certification is required (PMP, CSM).
EXPERIENCE
  • 4-6 years of Project Management experience required.
  • Hands-on experience leading, managing and delivering projects centered around process improvements, healthcare technology, and clinical operation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various projects management methodologies and tools.
  • Process improvement experience and certification like LEAN Six Sigma, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, prioritize; excellent time management, creative thinking, decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate project resources without direct reporting relationship effectively to deliver projects.
  • Ability to understand business requirements/concepts and facilitate discussions in project context.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead multiple fast-paced technical and non-technical projects of medium to large size, and medium to high complexity, and provide high quality results.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical and non-technical presentations for team, corporate, and service line leadership.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, federal, and applicable regulations regarding clinical systems, PHI and HIPAA or the ability to acquire this knowledge.
