This role partners closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans, manage delivery risks and dependencies, and ensure solutions meet security, quality, and operational standards. The Technical Project Manager coordinates internal teams and third‑party vendors, leads delivery governance and reporting, and oversees testing and release readiness throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders, vendors, timelines, risks, testing, training readiness, go‑live activities, and post‑launch stabilization.

  • Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.

  • Collaborate with technical leads and architects to capture requirements, confirm the solution approach, and document assumptions, constraints, and non‑functional requirements such as performance, security, and reliability.

  • Maintain ongoing liaison with project stakeholders.

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with all team members and stakeholders.

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using project tracking tools.

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and technical dependencies across engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and vendor teams.

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports, analyze results/metrics, and escalation technical issues to remove delivery blockers.

  • Define and disseminate project success criteria throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct project retrospectives and recommend improvements.

  • Develop and implement best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend changes as needed.

  • Direct and manage project development from initiation through completion.

Formal Education & Certification

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Project/program certification such as PMP, CAPM, PMI‑ACP, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) (or equivalent experience). Technical certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus.

  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records and similar software strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience managing technology projects (software development, infrastructure, cloud migrations, data platforms, integrations), including end‑to‑end delivery.

  • Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management.

  • Technical fluency: able to discuss architecture and collaborate effectively with technical vendors, engineers, and other technical staff.

  • Experience working with databases and operating environments (e.g., SQL/NoSQL concepts, Windows/Linux) and/or cloud platforms.

  • Competent understanding of enterprise technology platforms and integration patterns (e.g. APIs, middleware, identity/access, data flows).

  • Solid working knowledge of modern web and integration technologies (e.g., REST/JSON, OAuth, networking basics).

  • Technically competent with productivity and documentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio/Miro, Teams) and able to produce clear technical‑facing artifacts.

  • Experience leading or supporting the implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Personal Attributes

  • Experience working both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
