Project Manager - Fire Alarm Systems
Location: Woodside, NY (Overseeing Projects Throughout New York City)
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of multiple simultaneous fire alarm installation projects.
- Oversee project execution from planning through successful completion.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, contracts, change order requests, subcontractor change orders, and related project documentation.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and other construction trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Provide regular project status updates and communicate progress to the Operations Manager.
- Manage project procurement and budgeting to ensure alignment with estimated costs and project financial goals.
- Conduct project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local codes, and customer specifications.
- Support project closeout activities, including final documentation, testing, and inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing fire alarm installation.
- Must have experience overseeing projects on an active construction site.
- Experience overseeing the installation, programming, and commissioning of commercial fire alarm systems.
- Experience designing fire alarm systems and preparing submittal packages.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm manufacturers such as Edwards (preferred), Notifier, Fire‑Lite, Gamewell‑FCI, Siemens, Simplex, Bosch, or other major manufacturers.
- Working knowledge of NFPA codes, industry regulations, and trade standards.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout New York State as needed.

- NICET Certification (Level II or higher preferred).
