Build Partners is working with a leading general contractor with strong pipelines of work across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. They’re looking for experienced Project Managers to manage ground-up education, municipal, healthcare, retail, and hospitality projects valued from $10M-$100M+.
You’ll be joining a contractor with a strong safety culture and excellent opportunities for progression, where you can take on greater responsibility and develop into a senior leadership role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction and buyout through completion and closeout.
- Take ownership of project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance.
- Develop and manage project schedules alongside the Superintendent, identifying risks and keeping delivery on track.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and contract awards.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement and long-lead items to support timely decisions and site progress.
- Manage change orders, pay applications and subcontractor billing accurately and promptly.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to coordinate field operations, resolve issues and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, contracts and client requirements.
- Oversee punch-list completion, final documentation, financial reconciliation and project closeout.
Requirements:
- Five+ years’ experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven Project Manager experience on ground-up commercial projects valued at $10 million or above.
- Experience across education, municipal, healthcare, retail, or hospitality.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, buyout, contract administration and change-order management skills.
- Confident managing schedules, subcontractors, client relationships and project documentation.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, alongside scheduling tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Based within commuting distance of DFW and able to work across Metroplex projects or willing to relocate to DFW.
