Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Lead preconstruction activities, including scope reviews, buyout, and subcontractor selection.
- Coordinate with field leadership to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Review and manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Monitor project financial performance and proactively address budget risks.
- Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty coordination.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing ground-up and/or major renovation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and maintain client satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
- Healthcare, education, municipal, industrial, retail, office, or public-sector project experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- PMP, CCM, or other relevant industry certifications.
