Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
• HCAI/OSHPD project experience highly preferred.
• Experience managing projects for hospitals, medical centers, MOBs, laboratories, life science facilities, or similar technically complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and forecasting.
• Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and field leadership.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, scope development, buyout, and contract administration.
• Maintain project financial performance and identify potential cost or schedule impacts early.
• Lead OAC meetings and provide clear project reporting to clients and internal leadership.
• Coordinate construction activities within active or occupied healthcare environments.
• Ensure compliance with HCAI/OSHPD requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Partner with Superintendents and project teams to proactively resolve field and design issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

A highly respected Southern California general contractor is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to join its San Diego team. This is an opportunity to work with an established builder known for delivering technically complex healthcare, life science, and commercial projects throughout the region.

The ideal candidate has strong ground-up and/or renovation experience within healthcare environments and understands the additional planning, documentation, coordination, and regulatory requirements associated with HCAI/OSHPD projects.
