Job summary

Goodall Brazier is partnering with a leading design-build general contractor to recruit a Project Manager for California healthcare facilities. You will own healthcare construction projects from planning to closeout, coordinating with Schedulers, Estimators, subs, and design teams to maintain schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance.

Required: healthcare project experience, a Construction Management degree, and proficiency in Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction projects, ideally in healthcare settings.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, subcontractors, and design teams; lead OAC and design meetings.
• Manage budgets, change orders, and RFIs to keep projects on time and on spec.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare facility regulations and OSHPD-related requirements.
• Oversee project documentation, submittals, and closeout processes.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Perform site visits and job walks as needed.

Project Manager – Healthcare Construction

Goodall Brazier have recently partnered with a leading design-build general contractor specializing in healthcare facilities construction to assist in their search for a Project Manager to join their team in California. This contractor delivers design-build projects for healthcare clients from initial bid through final closeout and is looking to add a key member to their team to support their continued growth across the state.

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of healthcare construction projects from planning through to closeout, coordinating closely with Superintendents, Estimators, subcontractors, and design teams to keep every phase on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with healthcare facility requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities of this role:

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from scope development and scheduling through construction and closeout
• Coordinate with architects, owners, subcontractors, and design teams, including leading OAC and design meetings
• Manage budgets, change orders, and RFIs to keep projects on time and on spec
• Ensure compliance with healthcare facility regulations and standards, including OSHPD-related requirements
• Oversee project documentation, submittals, and closeout processes
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management
• Perform site visits and job walks as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within a healthcare setting (hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings, or similar regulated facilities)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered
• Strong working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
• Comfortable interpreting drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Valid driver's license, with willingness to travel to job sites as required
