NextPlay Jobs is partnering with an established Colorado general contractor to hire an experienced Healthcare Project Manager. You will lead healthcare construction programs across hospitals, medical office buildings, renovations, and clinical environments, ensuring patient safety and operations continuity.

The role emphasizes strong planning, communication, and collaboration with owners, facility teams, and design professionals, supporting business development and client relationships.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction experience with healthcare projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience with hospital renovations and occupied healthcare facilities.
  • Strong scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead project teams across hospitals, medical office buildings, renovations, expansions, and clinical facilities.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, controls, documentation, and overall execution.
  • Coordinate closely with owners, healthcare facility teams, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage construction within occupied healthcare environments while minimizing disruption to patients and ongoing operations.
  • Oversee project phasing, infection control requirements, life safety measures, and complex MEP coordination.
  • Lead OAC meetings, project status reviews, and other client and project meetings.
  • Partner with preconstruction teams during planning and estimating.
  • Support healthcare client relationships, RFP responses, interviews, and business development efforts.
  • Manage multiple priorities and project teams within highly regulated environments.

We are partnering with an established commercial general contractor in the Colorado Front Range that is expanding its healthcare construction team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Project Manager who wants to lead complex projects, work closely with healthcare clients, and continue growing toward senior leadership.

You’ll manage projects in active hospitals, medical office buildings, and clinical environments where strong planning, communication, and attention to patient operations are critical.

What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of construction experience with significant healthcare project experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Proven experience with hospital renovations and expansions
  • Experience managing construction in occupied or actively operating healthcare facilities
  • Strong understanding of phasing, infection control/ICRA, life safety/ILSM, and healthcare construction requirements
  • Experience coordinating complex MEP systems
  • Strong project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead teams throughout both preconstruction and construction
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working directly with healthcare systems and facility teams
  • Bluebeam and Procore experience preferred
