Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full lifecycle with appropriate methodologies and tools.
  • Define scope, objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and manage project status reports for PMO dashboard.
  • Implement change management in line with agency guidance.
  • Forecast, acquire resources as needed to meet objectives.
  • Ensure activities comply with federal/state guidelines.
  • Facilitate contracts from initiation to closure.
  • Perform gap/root-cause analysis and recommend improvements.
  • Lead group facilitation, especially when involving an independent party.

Position: Project Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools, planning and communication, and acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
  • Perform all standard project management deliverables including scope and objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, project and vendor engagement, subject matter expert utilization, implementation, and project closure.
  • Develop and manage project status reports for communicating with project stakeholders and reporting key metrics for the PMO dashboard.
  • Implement change management practices in accordance with agency and PMO guidance.
  • Forecast, manage, and acquire (as necessary) resources needed to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to federal, state, or agency documented guidelines.
  • Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation to closure.
  • Routinely perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and offer recommendations for successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate dynamic ability to lead group facilitation activities for the agency especially in areas requiring interaction of an independent party.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Strong familiarity with and/or the ability to use MS Project.
  • Understanding and experience with the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and Standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
Work Arrangement:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • Work hours generally between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Minimum 3 days onsite per week
  • Additional onsite days may be required depending on project needs
  • Overtime will not be approved
