Scott Humphrey Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri seeks an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of large, complex construction projects valued at $100M+.

You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships, and ensure safety and quality across all phases. The role demands leadership, strong communication, and collaboration with field teams, design partners, and trade contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects; $100M+ projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, buyout, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and closeout.
  • Maintain budgets, forecasts, schedules, cost reports, and financial performance.
  • Support estimating, subcontractor bidding, contract negotiations, buyout, and change management.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents and field leadership to resolve challenges and maintain schedules.
  • Manage owner billing, vendor invoices, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Lead OAC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Ensure work meets safety, quality, contract requirements, and codes.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Build strong client and subcontractor relationships for future work.

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

We’re partnering with a well-established general contractor to hire a Project Manager who can take full ownership of large, complex construction projects valued at $100M+.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced construction professional ready to take ownership of project execution - from preconstruction and procurement through closeout. You’ll manage project financials, coordinate with field teams and trade partners, maintain client relationships, and help deliver safe, high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Own:
  • Manage projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and closeout
  • Maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, cost reports, and financial performance
  • Support estimating, subcontractor bidding, contract negotiations, buyout, and change management
  • Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to resolve challenges and maintain project schedules
  • Manage owner billing, vendor invoices, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation
  • Lead OAC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners
  • Ensure work complies with safety standards, quality expectations, contract requirements, and applicable codes
  • Support and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Build strong client and subcontractor relationships that contribute to successful project delivery and future work
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5–8+ years of progressive construction project management experience
  • Experience supporting or managing large-scale commercial construction projects; $100M+ project experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, buyout, and change management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with field teams, clients, design partners, and subcontractors
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and related construction management platforms
