Job summary

K & G INDUSTRIAL SERVICES, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to bridge customer needs with a planned, executed solution on industrial construction projects. Under Regional Manager supervision, you lead onsite teams, coordinate logistics, and ensure safety, quality, and profitability.

Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, cost control, scheduling, submittals, procurement, and project reporting. Travel is required; flexibility for extended time away from family.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • Experience in fiberglass, tank repair/fabrication, pipe fabrication, fit, installation, and fabrication of specialty fiberglass parts.
  • Past crew supervision (crew of 6+).
  • Pulp and Paper Industry experience would be a plus.
  • Independent, well organized with strong time management and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Job description

As the Project Manager, you will bridge the customer’s needs with a well planned and executed solution. You achieve this by utilizing K&G’s cutting-edge equipment, extensive manpower workforce, and by leading your crew through safe production; creating a solution for your customer that will last for years.

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, the Project Manager works on all sizes of industrial construction projects. The Project Manager is the primary company representative responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Directs and supervises activities related to onsite construction, contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • On and Off-Site Management of Project
  • Management of project logistics; including equipment, and materials
  • Developing Work Procedures and Overseeing Quality Control Programs
  • Overseeing Job Safety Programs
  • Overseeing Superintendents and Workforce
  • Project Cost Control and Scheduling
  • Project Reporting
  • Sales and Business Development
  • Understanding that our work is mostly shutdown related and time sensitive.
  • Travel is required with some extended periods of time away from family.
  • A very hands-on position.
Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of Construction Project Management experience, including but not limited to developing project plans, coordinating projects, managing project team activities, and communicating changes and progress. Successful Project Managers complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Experience in fiberglass, tank repair/fabrication, pipe fabrication, fit, installation, and fabrication of specialty fiberglass parts.
  • Past crew supervision (crew of 6 or more).
  • Pulp and Paper Industry experience would be a plus.
  • Ability to self-structure. Independence is key to this job, and therefore organization, strong time management and multi-tasking is required.

  • Work at significant heights on scaffolding is required.

  • Great interpersonal skills.
Education:
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Full Size Pickup Truck w/ gas card.
