Job summary

K&G Industrial (Leland, NC) is seeking a Project Manager to bridge customer needs with engineered, on-site execution. The role oversees project direction, cost, safety, scheduling, and client communication on industrial construction projects.

With 5+ years in PM and a hands-on approach, you will lead crews, coordinate logistics, and drive profitable outcomes. Travel to sites is required; a strong work ethic and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • Experience in fiberglass, tank repair/fabrication, pipe fabrication, and fabrication of specialty fiberglass parts.
  • Past crew supervision (crew of 6 or more).
  • Pulp and Paper Industry experience would be a plus.
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Summary:

As the Project Manager, you will bridge the customer’s needs with a well planned and executed solution. You achieve this by utilizing K&G’s cutting-edge equipment, extensive manpower workforce, and by leading your crew through safe production; creating a solution for your customer that will last for years.

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, the Project Manager works on all sizes of industrial construction projects. The Project Manager is the primary company representative responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Directs and supervises activities related to onsite construction, contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of Construction Project Management experience, including but not limited to developing project plans, coordinating projects, managing project team activities, and communicating changes and progress. Successful Project Managers complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Experience in fiberglass, tank repair/fabrication, pipe fabrication, fit, installation, and fabrication of specialty fiberglass parts.
  • Past crew supervision (crew of 6 or more).
  • Pulp and Paper Industry experience would be a plus.
  • Ability to self-structure. Independence is key to this job, and therefore organization, strong time management and multi-tasking is required.

Education:

  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
