Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Project Manager to organize, manage, and plan complex projects across research, development, and product implementation. You will lead interdepartmental teams, manage budgets, and proactively address risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related experience. PMP, PgMP or CAPM certifications are highly desirable, along with strong communication and organizational

Responsibilities

  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments and reports identified risks with mitigation recommendations.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts. The Project Manager is responsible for a combination of planning and execution of activities related to the delivery of projects for their teams. When executing on project delivery, Project Leads are responsible for the success of one or more projects within a given timeline and budget, creation, and maintenance of status reports, proactively managing issues and risks, and working with 3rd party partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.

  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.

  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.

  • Conducts risk assessments: reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).

  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.

  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.

  • Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required.

  • At least three years of related experience required.

  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Pay Rate:
  • $75k - $100k (Depending on Experience)
