Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Project Manager to organize, manage, and plan complex projects across R&D and product implementation. The role combines planning, execution, and coordination with internal teams and external partners to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of related experience, strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
• At least three years of related experience required.
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable certification highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with proven deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
• Conducts risk assessments and recommends mitigation strategies.
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
• Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
• Communicates with sales and marketing teams to promote projects and systems.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts. The Project Manager is responsible for a combination of planning and execution of activities related to the delivery of projects for their teams. When executing on project delivery, Project Leads are responsible for the success of one or more projects within a given timeline and budget, creation, and maintenance of status reports, proactively managing issues and risks, and working with 3rd party partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
• Conducts risk assessments: reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
• Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
• Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required.
• At least three years of related experience required.
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.

Pay Rate

• $75k - $100k (Depending on Experience)
