Job summary

UG2 is seeking an experienced Custodial Project Manager to lead custodial operations across facilities in the Yonkers area, ensuring top standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee custodial staff and contract providers, plan schedules and budgets, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement through KPIs and safety coaching. This is a full‑time, first‑shift role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of custodial, janitorial, environmental services, or facilities management experience.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience managing custodial contractors, vendors, and service agreements.
• Strong knowledge of custodial operations, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily custodial operations across multiple facilities, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and service delivery.
• Develop cleaning schedules, staffing plans, and quality control programs.
• Lead custodial supervisors, frontline staff, and contracted service providers.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Plan and oversee special cleaning projects, including floor restoration, deep cleaning, construction clean‑up, office moves, and facility events.
• Coordinate project timelines, staffing requirements, equipment, and materials to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules to meet operational objectives.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, OSHA, environmental, safety, and company policies.
• Partner with Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality teams to support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of safety through training, coaching, and accountability.
• Manage custodial service contracts and vendor relationships.
• Monitor departmental budgets and operational expenses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Track and report KPIs and service metrics.
• Build strong relationships with facility stakeholders and business partners.
• Address service concerns promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary:

The Custodial Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of custodial and janitorial services throughout Boehringer Ingelheim facilities. This position will oversee custodial staff and service providers, manage cleaning programs and special projects, ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support a clean, safe, and professional workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Manage daily custodial operations across multiple facilities, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and service delivery.
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, staffing plans, and quality control programs.
• Lead custodial supervisors, frontline staff, and contracted service providers.

• Strong knowledge of custodial operations, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and sanitation practices.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Environmental Services, or related field.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare, or manufacturing environments.
• Certification in Facilities Management, Project Management, or Environmental Services.
