About the Opportunity Job Description

The Project Manager is the key liaison between the University, consultants and contractors. The Project Manager will oversee procurement of services, project administration, determining of scope, administering contracts, resolving of conflicts and in the assurance of the work being completed on time and on budget of contract. In either a leadership and/or management capacity, the Project Manager may be involved in any or all of the following: contract scope definitions, contract negotiations, contract administration, payment process, change order control, cost control, schedule control and quality control.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years related experience in construction, architecture, and/or project management. Possess the ability to work independently in difficult and complex tasks; Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills the ability to clearly articulate and communicate to diverse groups including faculty, academic administration, management and others; Must possess ability to organize and prioritize workload, be pro‑active in identifying project needs/requirements. Strong, documented skills in the areas of organization, problem‑solving and personal interactions; Self‑motivated with sound decision‑making skills This position may have supervisory responsibilities as defined by the project scope, including administrative staff, assistant project managers, and other personnel.

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 111S Expected Hiring Range: $87,785.00 - $123,998.75 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly‑situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
