Northeastern University is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the key liaison among the university, consultants and contractors. You will oversee procurement, contract administration, scope definitions, negotiations and change management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
In a leadership and/or management capacity, you may supervise staff and coordinate cross-functional teams to forecast resources and measure outcomes, driving corrective actions where needed.
The Project Manager is the key liaison between the University, consultants and contractors. The Project Manager will oversee procurement of services, project administration, determining of scope, administering contracts, resolving of conflicts and in the assurance of the work being completed on time and on budget of contract. In either a leadership and/or management capacity, the Project Manager may be involved in any or all of the following: contract scope definitions, contract negotiations, contract administration, payment process, change order control, cost control, schedule control and quality control. Develop and prioritize programs/projects according to relevant measurement criteria. Direct the forecast and adjustment of resources to ensure projects and programs are delivered as promised. Partner with Director of Work Management to develop metrics that provide meaningful data to validate expected outcomes and develop recommendations to provide corrective action. The Project Manager performs primary responsibilities personally or through administrative and technical assistants, and other project personnel.
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years related experience in construction, architecture, and/or project management.
