Job summary

Kay & Co, a leading Boston-area general contractor, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage the schedule, budget, and client relationships, and collaborate with the field team and project engineers to deliver on time and on budget.

You’ll mentor junior staff and coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure safety and high-quality work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial GC or CM.
• Experience on multifamily, institutional or commercial projects.
• Strong financial and communication skills.
• Comfortable with Procore or similar software.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more projects from buyout to handover.
• Own cost control, forecasting and change management.
• Build strong relationships with owners, architects and subcontractors.
• Partner with superintendents to deliver safe, high quality work on schedule.
• Mentor and develop project engineers and assistant project managers.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a well established construction management firm headquartered south of Boston, founded in the 2000s. They now have more than 200 people and deliver work across Greater Boston and beyond. Their portfolio covers multifamily, affordable housing, higher education, hospitality and public sector projects, from ground up new builds to complex restorations. It’s a large company that still has a small company feel. Leadership knows your name and good work gets recognised.

THE ROLE

You’ll lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing the schedule, the budget and the client relationship. You’ll work closely with the field team, and your PEs and APMs will look to you for direction.
