Position Summary

The Project Logistics Engineer applies logistics engineering fundamentals within a team environment, providing leadership and technical guidance across departments. Experience with DoD acquisition logistics, including FMECA, RM&A, DMSMS, spares determination, system training, and manual development, is required. The annualized pay rate is $93,500 to $126,500.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Complete complex logistics engineering tasks independently.
  • Review work progress and evaluate results.
  • Conduct research and consult with subject matter experts.
  • Provide leadership to lower-level employees.
  • Manage small-scale projects technically.
  • Devise innovative solutions and prepare reports for management.
  • Perform analyses, develop objectives, schedules, and estimates.
  • Support systems engineering with hazard analyses and FMEAs.
  • Provide Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) for programs.
  • Interface with engineers and vendors for logistics development.
  • Meet schedule, cost, and technical requirements.
  • Engage with customers to manage expectations.
  • Participate in process improvement groups.
  • Evaluate OEM and vendor capabilities.
  • Document analyses and support bid/proposal efforts.
  • Occasional outside work and travel may be required.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline (consideration for significant experience in lieu of degree).
  • 5-10 years of logistics engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience developing ILSPs, FMECA, ILS Management Plans, and other logistics documents.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of engineering principles and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management.
  • Knowledge of government and commercial contract requirements and standards.
Desired
  • Experience with large-scale military or commercial systems.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
Additional Information

This is a hybrid position requiring some commuting to the office. Work schedules are determined by the manager.
