Job summary

Frankfurt-based PMO is seeking a Project Leader / Project Manager to independently manage complex cross-functional projects with a focus on digitalization, process optimization, and neighborhood/portfolio development. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, manage external providers, and ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality targets while guiding business units through requirements and use cases.

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in business administration or (business) information technology or comparable qualification.
• PMO or project manager experience in complex change or digital transformation projects.
• Proficient in traditional project management; familiar with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and project controlling.
• Experience providing consulting support (problem definition, workshop facilitation, developing concepts & requirements).
• Knowledge of process management (capture, analysis, optimization) and BPMN 2.0; AI/data-driven projects desirable.
• Proficient with MS Office; Jira and Confluence experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure requirements through workshops, problem definition, and facilitation; translate issues into clear use cases and goals.

• Identify requirements for AI-powered processes in collaboration with business units and IT.
• Contribute to expanding the project management framework, templates, governance, and multi-project reporting.
• Maintain awareness of portfolio management and provide practical project governance support.

Project Leader / Project Manager (m/f/d) Project Management Office (PMO)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Project Manager (m/f/d) for the Project Management Office (PMO) to start as soon as possible. In this role, you will independently manage projects and provide methodological guidance to our business units—from problem definition and process analysis to the development of viable requirements specifications.

• Management of complex, cross-functional projects—from concept to successful completion—with a focus on digitalization, process optimization, and neighborhood and portfolio development
• Coordinating interdisciplinary project teams and managing external service providers and consultants, including ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality targets are met, as well as actively managing risks and stakeholders
• Structured problem and root cause analysis, and facilitation of workshops for requirements gathering, as well as structuring and prioritizing requirements
• Contributing to the development of robust requirements specifications and technical concepts to serve as a basis for decision-making, as well as translating complex issues into clear use cases and project goals
• Process mapping, modeling (ideally using BPMN 2.0), and optimization prior to project launch, through to automation (e.g., RPA)
• Identifying and structuring requirements for AI-powered processes (e.g., decision support, chatbots) in close collaboration with business units and IT
• Contribute to the expansion of the project management framework—methods, standards, tools, and project governance
• Contribution to a manageable project portfolio, including practical templates and multi-project reporting
• Completed business apprenticeship or degree in business administration, (business) information technology, or a comparable qualification
• Experience as a project manager (m/f/d) or in a PMO—ideally in complex change, organizational, or digital transformation projects
• Proficient in traditional project management, familiar with agile methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), and experienced in project controlling (budget, costs, reporting)
• Experience in providing consulting support for projects (problem definition, workshop facilitation, development of technical concepts and requirements specifications)
• Knowledge of process management (capture, analysis, optimization), ideally in BPMN 2.0, as well as experience with AI or data-driven projects is desirable
• Proficiency with MS Office, ideally supplemented by tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience in managing service providers and interdisciplinary teams, including conflict and expectation management
