Job summary

Matrix is seeking an HSE Manager to administer the project HSE Management System and accountability programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and client requirements. You will lead risk management, audits, and incident investigations, and coordinate with site management and subcontractors.

The role requires travel to project sites, leadership of HSSE staff, and ongoing development of safety goals and action plans in alignment with corporate standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience as an individual contributor in construction or industrial fabrication facility or equivalent background.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce federal, state, local and company safety regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Actively supports safety commitments and core values.
• Represents the company with high professional standards and ethics.
• Maintains compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Leads HSSE management systems and audits on project sites.
• Develops Project Safety Goals and Action Plans with site leadership.
• Conducts or schedules safety training for staff, supervisors and new hires.
• Conducts incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Supervises HSE staff and mentors team members.
• Communicates HSSE information to clients and management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in occupational/environmental safety and health management
