Job summary

Matrix Project Services in Houston, TX seeks an HSE Technician to support project safety management and enforce compliance with HSE plans on active construction sites. The role involves hands-on safety enforcement, incident documentation, and coordinating with site supervision.

The candidate will travel to project sites as required, with per diem for eligible assignments, and contribute to a comprehensive safety program for a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CHST designation or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 500/502 Certification preferred with construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company with high moral standards and ethics.
• Support safety initiatives and core values on site.
• Communicate commitment to HSE plans with site management and subcontractors.
• Assist in controlling hazardous conditions and unsafe behavior.
• Assist in safety, first aid and rescue activities administration.
• Conduct staff and craft safety orientation training.
• Perform regular inspections of construction site areas.
• Assist in accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Document accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions.
• Issue work permits as trained.
• Participate in housekeeping activities.
