Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking an HSE Manager to administer the project HSE Management System, Accountability Programs, accident and fire protection programs, and risk management. Travel to project sites is required with per diem eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational/environmental safety and health management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of safety experience as an individual contributor in construction or industrial fabrication facility or equivalent.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• OSHA 510 certification (or equivalent) with at least two years in construction safety.
• 5+ years’ experience on a large project in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional.

Responsibilities

• Support safety compliance with Company, Client, State/Federal safety regulations.
• Lead and participate in investigation of accidents/incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Conduct HSE field audits and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate risk management and HSSE management systems at the project level.
• Develop and monitor HSSE objectives and report performance to management.
• Lead HSE staff, mentoring and training on safety programs and practices.
