Cape Cod Community College is seeking a Mass Communications and Broadcasting Instructor to provide hands-on training for intellectually disabled adults in the Project Forward program. Qualifications

• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

The Mass Communications and Broadcasting Instructor will provide hands‑on training and instruction to intellectually disabled adults enrolled in the Project Forward vocational program.

This position focuses on developing soft skills related to communication—including interpersonal, group, and public communication skills. The instructor will design and deliver curriculum‑based lessons around developing Word and email skills, producing and delivering podcasts, basic camera skills and appropriate communication behaviors.

This is a part‑time position, including 9 hours per week (6 hours of instruction/3 hours prep time) for the Fall 2026 semester and 18 hours per week (12 hours of instruction/6 hours prep time) for the Spring 2027 semester.

General Responsibilities

The instructor will provide hands‑on training and instruction to intellectually disabled adults enrolled in the Project Forward vocational program.

Examples of Duties

1. Teach students about the history of communication, including FCC rules, etc.
2. Teach students about appropriate communication skills, including eye contact, tone of voice, body language and non‑verbal communication.

Compensation

$36.55 per hour for up to 18 hours per week (including instruction and preparation time) during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Part‑time, non‑benefited, MCCC Unit position.
