Job summary

Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. seeks a Project Financial Controls Specialist to validate and analyze project finances, ensuring accurate billing, sound forecasts, and profitable delivery.

The role partners with Project Finance and project teams to identify risks and corrective actions within the Milhouse PMM framework. You will review contracts, billing structures, P&Ls, and forecasts, and support managers with financial interpretation of project performance while maintaining

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of project controls, project finance, or FP&A experience.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision or a comparable ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Validate new and existing project setups in Deltek before billing.
• Review project P&Ls and financial performance.
• Maintain and update project forecasts and identify risks to budget, fee, revenue, or cash flow.
• Evaluate T&M/cost-plus and lump-sum/fixed-fee structures and their impact on profitability.
• Analyze staffing plans and recommend changes to improve profitability.
• Identify revenue leakage and control exceptions and document findings.
